An Interview with Darren Sadana, Choice IoT Inc. CEO: ‘We Will Never Falter on Our Commitments to Remain the Most Operationally Sound and innovative Company in the Industry’

Choice IoT, a subsidiary of Choice Products and Services Inc., is an authorized Nationwide Master Dealer and Distributor for T-Mobile since 1993. It operates offices up and down the eastern seaboard, serving dealers nationwide. Choice entities currently employ over 150 dedicated professionals whose sole responsibility is the growth and financial success of our over 2,500 contracted Dealers.

Choice IoT provides Voice, Data, IoT, and M2M services to IoT- and solution providers. Whether a small business

Darren Sadana, Choice IoT Inc. CEO, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.

Why was the company set up? And how did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?

Choice Products & Services Inc was created in 1999 to provide wholesale and retail wireless
services to the consumer market. Over the years we have grown to control over 400 carrier-branded T-Mobile and Metro PCS stores nationwide as of 2019. We were tasked by T-Mobile to come in and simplify the wireless connectivity space for solution providers in the IoT, NB-IoT, M2M Voice and SMS. We did extensive research and found that all the carrier platforms were built with the carrier’s needs in mind and no one was paying
attention to the solution providers’ needs. The solution provider had poor visibility and control over their wireless connectivity. We wanted to
provide them with a platform that was simple to use but extremely powerful. Being in the wireless space we saw how the iPhone came in and pretty much destroyed firmly entrenched companies like Nokia and Motorola. What is the reason for its success? It is the simplicity and the ability to Plug and Play and yet it is very powerful. Keeping this goal in mind I started out to design CAMP™ — Connectivity and Management Portal.

CAMP™ was launched in July of 2018 and the portal has been wildly successful and empowering to all solution providers that we have signed up since then.

What challenges did you face in your initial years?

We have learnt that the technology space is fast changing and you have to stay ahead and even anticipate the changes happening in the industry and adapt quickly to address them. We make monthly updates to CAMP™ to stay ahead of any industry changes and challenges that our dealers and solution providers might face. We have been in the wireless space servicing and training dealers for over 20 years. The lesson learnt is: always listen
to the customer and support their business.

What kind of responses have you received from your consumers over the years? How have they motivated you to shape your offerings/ grow the company?

We have always been complimented on the high level of customer support and service we provide and we have brought that philosophy to this market segment. We believe the customer is always right and I am customer-obsessed. I believe if you take care of the customer and can help them succeed you gain customer loyalty; that automatically guarantees your success. Our philosophy is to focus on the customer- solution providers’ needs and how we can help them grow.

How do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this highly volatile market?

We have our own team of in-house programmers and are abreast of changes in our industry. Usually, we anticipate the change before our dealers do and have a solution before they are aware of the need for it. We also have the ability to customize solutions to help them optimize their service offerings.

How often do you innovate?

We constantly innovate our CAMP™ connectivity platform by asking users questions about how to update the wish list of features they would want. We push out new features and updates on a monthly basis. We have an in-house team of programmers and sales engineers that always look to innovate and add new features and enhancements to help our customers manage their business better and gain an edge on their competition.

What are the factors that make your company stand out from the competition?

Listening to our customers and constant innovation are two of the few prominent factors that help us outdo our competitors. Actually, we don’t compete we lead. We bring new ideas to market that our customers can use to increase their revenue streams. We help consult them in
solution sales and help them by using our extensive base of solution providers to expand their solution offering. Our customers can also sell our enterprise mobility solutions to increase their profit margins from their existing accounts.

How does your company contribute to the competitive global IT platform at large?

We have built a very simple-touse but powerful connectivity and management platform that others are emulating and we help our customers take complete control over their wireless connectivity; hence driving their costs down and increasing profitability.

Do you have any new products ready to be launched?

We are just launching our Enterprise Mobility Platform which will help businesses reduce their wireless connectivity costs and give them more control over their wireless deployments for their employees.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

We see our company rated as the leading Wireless Connectivity and Management Platform in the industry in the near future. We expect to have over a million active lines in CAMP™.

Moreover, we see our company grow 10,000 percent year over year for the next two years.
